  • A Real Pleasant Performance (2 CD Set) ()

    A Real Pleasant Performance

After the success of our first title BJ Records is proud to present their second release ''A Real Pleasant Performance''.
We've decided to bring you a stunning 2 CD package containing two concerts newly mixed into matrix stereo sound.
The concerts presented here were recorded on February 13 in West Palm Beach and February 14 1977 in St. Petersburgh and while these shows have been released previously from the soundboard tapes they deserved a brand new make-over and have never sounded better,
we've gone back and mixed the two shows from scratch and took it to a new level by mixing in the audience recordings from these shows giving the two shows new depth and wider sound detail and showing clear improvements to an otherwise standard soundboard.

Listen to great performances of ''It's Now Or Never'' the great crowd interaction during ''Fever'' a stunning ''My Way'' and touching ''And I Love You So'' and not to forget the two versions of ''Blueberry Hill'' among other highlights.

Taking things a a little further there's also bonus performances included from the rest of the tour which we gave the the same mixing treatment and we have great versions of ''Trying To Get To You'' ''Release Me'' ''Unchained Melody'' ''How Great Thou Art'' and the one and only live performance of ''Where No One Stands Alone''.  We're sure you'll be pleasantly Surprised at the sound and this deserves to be in everyone's collection.

This release is presented in a digipak containing some fantastic brand new photos from West Palm Beach along with photos from other dates on this tour.
Be sure to ask for samples from your local Elvis dealer.

  • A STUDY OF ELVIS PRESLEY’ IN CONCERT” Book/CD/DVD/Blu-ray ()
“A STUDY OF ELVIS PRESLEY’ IN CONCERT” A thesis of the TV-special.
    BOOK/CD/DVD/Blu-Ray.

The book contains 136 pages thesis with many beautiful related photos, interviews and documents with extended information about “the tv-special”.  To support the thesis, we had to include footage of the aired European TV-Special broadcast and a behind the scenes interview and four clips to support the thesis.
All multimedia material is available on the net, YouTube, forums and other dedicated sites, etc., but for easy access we’ve collected them in one place and edited it to follow the story line of the book. We tried to use the best quality multimedia available to us.
Every effort has been made to debunk accepted “facts”. Putting facts in the right perspective as should have been done years ago.
The question why we’ve made a book instead of an internet publication?  It’s simple, you can pick it up and show it directly to anyone who comes along with old mis interpreted facts.
This book will help Elvis fans explain and the media to correct their opinion when reviewing Elvis’ last TV special or concerts of his years. Anyone should pay the respect Elvis deserves for his showmanship and the genius which he really was.

Elvis In Concert is a historical document. It has to be seen and listened to, so someone can understand the full Elvis story. It’s the Shakespearean final act of a great life. Perhaps he said it best himself in a 1961 interview with Lloyd’ Shearer. ‘Cut Me and I Bleed.’
We do hope that it sets of an idea to bring out a massive release which justifies Elvis in his later years.
Right now you hold a rare study of Elvis Presley in concert, a plead and thesis in your hands.
The audio and footage are additional and limited in quantity. For quality and durability, we choose pressing in 24 carat gold when possible. All our sources are mentioned in the book for even more in-depth reading.

The audio on the cd is remastered and re-arranged according to the original setlist of Rapid City to have the full concert experience how it develops it to the climax moments of the show of which we refer to in the thesis. Fan comments were removed and “Unchained melody” is added.  The footage is on DVD and Blu-ray (Same content in higher resolution.) Note: The clip of “I Really Don’t Want To Know “was our first test for the high quality audio presentation only. We included it as a bonus. See the book for more detail.

The songs in order of appearance:
Also, Sprach Zarathustra/Opening Riff /See See Rider /I Got A Woman /Amen /That’s All Right /Are You Lonesome Tonight?/Love Me/Fairytale/Little Sister/If You Love Me (Let Me Know)/You Gave Me A Mountain /And I Love You So /Jailhouse Rock /How Great Thou Art /O Sole Mio / It’s Now Or Never /Trying To Get To You/Hawaiian Wedding Song /(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear/Don’t Be Cruel/My Way /Early Morning Rain /What’d I Say /Johnny Be Goode /I Really Don’t Want To Know /Hurt /Hound Dog /Unchained Melody/Can’t Help Falling In Love /Closing Riff.

Please note, the number of copies is limited. The book is ONLY available from fan clubs and exclusive Elvis dealers and intended for research NOT for mainstream release.

    Atlanta Weekend '76

AudiRec label is back! In November 2018 we released a thematic box set with 3 Asheville shows from July 22 – 24, 1975. “THE ASHEVILLE MARATHON ’75 was a huge success and this release was immediately sold out. All three Atlanta June ’76 shows were released a very long time ago, but never in such a great sound quality. We have located the original sources recorded by the same person and restored the sound from scratch. All shows were taped with a recorder equipped with two microphones and there is a certain stereo effect making the sound rich and full. The sound of all concerts was re-tuned by professional musician to the correct speed! Hopefully you will enjoy the outcome.

  • Elvis Is Back In Atlanta ()

Elvis Is Back In Atlanta (Mint & sealed)

BJ Records is proud to present ''Elvis Is Back In Atlanta!''
For years fans have been wanting a release of the soundboard of this show that took place on december 30th 1976, however when it was released the sound wasn't up to snuff in large part due to the way it was recorded it was also very unbalanced.
We worked very hard in achieving the optimal sound quality, and balancing everything out. it doesn't get much better then this!
Combining the audience recording and the soundboard we achieved a good result, a so called matrix-recording, giving back some warmth and depth to a show that deserves it.

Newspapers were raving about this show with The Atlanta Journal stating ''This Thursday show at the Omni was tops, the best possible year-end present for his Atlanta fans'' and
''His vitality is restored and he was full of pep. Furthermore, he was in a good mood. He was giving his best and knew it, adding a wonderful aura of self-confidence to the show.''

The show consists of great renditions of ''Fairytale'' ''Reconsider Baby'' ''That's All Right'' and the highlight of it all .. ''Such A Night'' which was only performed twice live.
We hope you enjoy the results as countless hours have been put into this to get it just right, ask your dealer for samples!

  • Elvis The Dream Project ()

Elvis The Dream Project (mint & sealed)

The first renewed Victrola label 2022 project is arriving! Of course it is NOT the usual re-release, but a fresh new project in the completely upgraded sound! All songs have been restored, remixed into stereo and we bet you will love the result!

Ann Nixon, who is a very famous Elvis fan, said it all: "Seeing and hearing Elvis live is a happening in itself. No gramophone record can reflect the sound of Elvis' voice as he sounded in the real life. The dynamic range and the power that came with his voice were never captured like people really experienced it live."

Being with Elvis in Las Vegas is like having a private concert. Nowadays there are countless recordings of Elvis' shows, and with this project we want to try to show you how it was to experience the real Elvis live in Las Vegas as had you been there in person.

We are aware of the soundboard recordings of Elvis, but quite often they are instrumentally incomplete, or the strong bass or heavy orchestra is overbearing the other instruments in the sound mix. Our dream was to restore this unique collection of live songs that Elvis performed during his Vegas years to their fullest glory. In this project we used the 1970 "On Stage" album as a template and we dreamt of what an original Elvis album would have looked like in the mid 70s. It was clearly noticeable throughout this project is how well Elvis really did sing on stage, and how immaculate the arrangements of the songs were.

That combination and Elvis' unbelievable charisma made everything sound right. Sometimes Elvis did two shows in one night in front of 2500 people during the span of one month. This would be almost the same as performing at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City during four consecutive weeks.
Our release is planned for July 2022. If you have enjoyed our previous CD issues, we believe that you will love new project as well. All selections sound fresh and lively like never before! Ask your local audio vendor for teasers!

HEART AND SOUL... AND SOME MIGHTY FINE ROCK 'N' ROLL

From Japan With Love Vol. 1
Recorded live at the Hilton Hotel, Las Vegas, NV, August 8th 1972 Midnight show

Our new CD is titled "Heart 'n' Soul And Some Mighty Fine Rock 'n' Roll“ (label E. P. Collector, catalogue number EPC 2016-08)
Recorded live from the audience in Las Vegas, NV, August 8th, 1972 M/S, CD is subtitled "From Japan With Love Vol. 1“ because it was recorded by a member of a Japanese fan club.
The Las Vegas, August 8th, 1972 Midnight show is previously unreleased. This concert was never before available in listenable sound, until now! It was taken from a recently found first generation copy of an original audience recorded master cassette tape and digitally restored for your listening pleasure.
This concert is excellent!! Actually all shows from 1972 Summer Festival are. Highlights are "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'", "What Now My Love“, ''Little Sister / Get Back“ and early, humble version of "My Way“.
This CD is packaged in a nicely designed digipak accompanied with 8-page booklet, filled with memories written by a Japanese fan who taped the show and met Elvis backstage, and a collection of on- and off-stage images taken in August 1972.
If you enjoyed some of our other releases such as "Elvis Reaches Austin City Limits" or "The Beat Is Back" among others then your sure to enjoy our latest release.
As with all our releases this CD is a labour of love and hope you enjoy. We are planning a few more interesting CDs taken from those "Japanese“ tapes. So stay tuned!

  • In Fine Form ()
IN FINE FORM” (label E.P. Collector, EPC 2015-03) recorded in Las Vegas, NV, February 9th, Midnight show.

It's not often that a totally "unknown" concert recording turns up, so we are rather pleased to be able to release this unreleased audience-recorded tape for collectors worldwide. And a rather nice one it is too, with EP in fine form and presenting a more solid and vocally satisfying show than at some of the other shows from this engagement. This tape, recorded during the February 9th, 1973 midnight show, it's very good-sounding recording, and Elvis' strong, no-nonsense delivery that night makes this release a worthwhile addition to your collection!

The CD is packaged in a nicely designed digipak with some less-known, cool images taken on January 14, 1973, in Hawaii.

  • Midnight In Vegas ()

    Midnight In Las Vegas

Ampex is back with a brand new unreleased performance, our follow up to ''You Know, My Bass Man Is Bound To Die'' here comes the second performance that day on the brand new ''Midnight In Las Vegas'' featuring the midnight show on March 24th 1975.
As everybody knows the concerts Elvis gave during his March/April season in las Vegas was a very strong one, there were no weak performances and every show was sold out with Elvis giving a committed performance while introducing some brand new material recorded earlier that month in the studio and wearing some stunning new two-piece outfits. This was a very different Elvis and the setlist reflected that, more often then not Elvis would only perform 2 or 3 of his classics during this season and he mostly relied on new material along with material introduced about a year earlier.

During this concert Elvis performs great versions of ''Promised Land'' ''Fairytale'' ''It's Midnight'' ''My Boy'' ''I'll Remember You'' ''Hawaiian Wedding Song'' and Interestingly David Briggs decided to play a different solo on this night playing an instrumental version of ''T-R-O-U-B-L-E'' a song that wouldn't be added to the setlist until the following tour, we even have Elvis going ''Say hey!'' during this short solo.
Elvis also introduces the legendary disc jockey, actor and musician ''Wolfman Jack'' which Elvis mentions that he's known him for a long time and that they'd been watching each other for years and that Jack had been hosting ''The Midnight Special'' (which ran from 1973 to 1981).
This release comes in a single digipack which contains some stunning photos from this season and you don't want to miss this release.

To get a preview of the release be sure to ask for a sample at your favorite Elvis dealer.

  • Shooting Star In Largo (2 CD Set) ()

Shooting Star In Largo (2 CD Set)

Following the remarkable success of our „THE MOON IS FALLING“ CD, it is time to move on to yet another exciting project. Straight Arrow is pleased to announce this new 2CD set, featuring two concerts from the June 1976 Bicentennial tour, in topnotch audience recorded quality.

As all die-hard fans know 1976 was a somewhat problematic year for Elvis, nevertheless the June concerts from Largo are examples of really solid Presley performances, with The King sounding clear and enthusiastic and most important - in good voice.

It is worth mentioning that Elvis met Elton John prior to his evening show in Largo. Before he left, the British singer asked Elvis to sing „Heartbreak Hotel” (which Elvis did), and informed him that his parents would also be in the audience. Elton and Presley said goodbye cordially and Elton was escorted once again to his seat in the arena, but not without posing for a picture with an illustrious fan: Lisa Marie, the daughter of his idol.

Both shows were taken directly from recently found original audience-recorded master tapes and they were recorded by a famous photographer of many Elvis 70s concerts, American superfan Harold Jean Newton (July 23, 1939 - June 10, 2009). These historic concerts were never before available in the good sound quality - until now!

The June 27th, 1976, 2:30pm show was previously released on CD called „BELTWAY TO LARGO“ (2002) from an inferior and slightly incomplete source. The July 27th 8:30pm show is previously unreleased. Every second was enhanced to achieve the optimal listening experience. The sound was remastered to the correct speed. If you have enjoyed our previous 1976 releases i.e. „ONONDAGA NIGHTS“ 2CD, we believe that you will love this one as well. Ask your local CD vendor for teasers!

This special release is presented in de-luxe double digipack, accompanied with local press review. All images used for this project were taken on stage during Elvis' 1976 Largo concerts.Photos from June 27th 8:30pm are black and white and they are rare. A couple of them have been added in spite of the problematic quality, for historic reasons.

  • Tampa Wave (DVD+ CD) ()
Millbranch Music is back with its second release in 2022! After the overwhelming success of our recent CD & DVD set “From Sea To Shining Sea” we were able to obtain more new and great 8mm footage plus a first generation audience recording from Elvis´ April 1975 tour!

“Tampa Wave” is a 2-disc set: The CD includes Elvis´ full performance of the evening show in Tampa, Florida (April 26, 1975), taken from the original tape which has been recorded by a by then “experienced” fan who had a great seat in the 5th row - and his recording equipment with him! For our last two releases we have worked strictly with soundboard recordings, but since the Tampa show we got the original tape of is really a very good audience recording with a lot of information regarding the excitement of the crowd in the rather small building Elvis played in (7.500 in attendance), we decided to work with it on our brandnew project. After all, Elvis-Fans would miss a lot if there were no audience recordings - some of them sound probably even better than quite a few “dry” sounding SB´s - but that will always stay a matter of audible taste of course.
The DVD in our new set has a running time of almost 100 (!!) minutes and includes rare and high-quality 8mm-footage of the Tampa evening show from April 26, 1975 (the same as you can hear on the CD) and more impressions from the same tour with the concerts in Lakeland, FL (Evening show from April 27 and the show from April 28) and Atlanta from May 1st. As a VERY special bonus the DVD contains an absolutely stunning performance from Elvis´ concert in Richfield, filmed at his magnificent July 75´ tour (July 18). The quality and length of the material we invested a lot of money in recently will blow you away! You will get 53 (!!) minutes from this show which is almost 80% of the whole performance.
Especially in the last two years, there have been a lot of releases which have shown some great 8mm footage on DVD. We appreciate this development because it makes it possible for fans to get a good look at what Elvis Presley concerts were like all through the 1970s and not only at the time-frames of TTWII, Elvis On Tour, Aloha From Hawaii and Elvis In Concert, where Elvis-Fans can watch professional material of for many years already. In the last couple of years more and more of the old private film-reels which seem to have remained hidden since the 1970´s showed up - reels that have been copied over and over and later put on rather bad video cassettes which have also been copied and copied over and over again, losing so much information with each ongoing copy. Nowadays, it is possible to work with those reels from back then, getting great results in terms of picture quality (at least in quite big parts) so we can see Elvis in all its glory on almost every tour and every Las Vegas engagement he did and taste a bit of the excitement from way back 45+ years ago.

Great times to be an Elvis-Collector! Make sure you´ll get your copy of our brandnew Millbranch release at your favorite dealer!

And the best thing is, this is the real deal!
You’re wondering, “Do gold CDs sound better? Are they really that much better than regular CDs?” Short answer : “You bet!” - The fact is that the gold disc's aural improvements are audible under any circumstances. Yes they can be played in any CD/DVD/Blu-ray player.
To us, this concert doesn’t need any enhancements to overwhelm the listener, it is the first row with ELVIS & 15,000 fans at the BOSTON GARDEN! It sounds all new. There was additional work but it all started with the transfer and we loved it! It’s a thrill to hear it like this.
We included due to the large demand the footage of Boston & the November tour also in HD on Blu-ray. (Almost 2 hours and yes, it includes little bit of new footage too). The very first release in High definition!
We’ve chosen to use dual-layer DVD to have the best possible quality on a DVD. As a bonus we added a compilation of Boston & Tuscaloosa to have a more enjoyable viewing expirience of the Boston concert. Although priority has been given to the historical content. So you’re good to go either way!

  • The Perfect 1 (2 CD Set) ()

    The Perfect 1

We’d like to present to you a collection containing Elvis’ first takes, recorded throughout the 60's and 70's. We at Gladyson consider these first takes to be on par and sometimes even better than the master recordings. Elvis in the studio did some magnificent first takes, but as sessions tend to go, the songs keep evolving, and everything gets perfected, but some of the magic seems to dissapear with each passing take. We have chosen the best first takes and collected them in this 40 track housed in a beautiful 6 panel double digi-pack, which we hope you enjoy. We have left some dialogue in where fitting, and are pleased with the results. Instead of listening to the masters, get out of your shell, put this disc into your player, and enjoy ''The Perfect 1''.

  • You Know, My Bass Man Is Bound To Die (2 CD Set) ()

You Know, My Bass Man Is Bound To Die

Ampex is proud to present You Know, My Bass Man Is Bound To Die

After taking a break, we invested in getting you a brand-new concert, recorded on March 24th, 1975, during the dinner show.  This show has never been released and comes in a great ambience sound quality. Elvis is very loose and has a ball with his audience and band members.  Opening in Las Vegas on March 18th, Elvis presented a rejuvenated show to his audience. Some of his classics like ‘Teddy Bear’ / ‘Don't Be Cruel’, ‘Love Me’, ‘Hound Dog’ and ‘I Got A Woman’ / ‘Amen’ would remain, but his show consisted mostly of recently recorded material, some of it only a week old!

Elvis performed ‘Green Green Grass Of Home’, ‘Fairytale’ and ‘And I Love You So’ from his still to be released album Today. ‘Promised Land’ would be sung on a regular basis whereas it was only performed a couple of times the year before. It would also find itself a different arrangement being closer to the studio master with James Burton’s electric guitar front and center. ‘My Boy’, which was first introduced in the August-September 1973 season before disappearing from the setlist, would make a comeback during this season but was now performed much more confidently with Elvis taking risks on the high notes near the end.  Be sure to listen to the version included on this CD, as Elvis takes it up a notch more than usual!  All in all, Elvis was back on track for the time being, reinvigorated, and giving professional and joyful shows night after night.

The March 24th dinner show is well worth having in your collection, with Elvis joking with his fellow band members - most notably J.D. Sumner - as Elvis jokes, ‘I've been with JD Sumner since I was 16 years old. He's the world's oldest bass singer; no, I’m kidding, he's the world lowest bass singer!’ Also, during ‘Trilogy’, Elvis still can't seem to contain himself as he jokingly sings, ‘You know, my bass man is bound to die!’

‘Burning Love’ and ‘I'll Remember You’ - which were re-introduced during this season after a two-year hiatus - were left off during this show with Elvis opting to do ‘Green Green Grass Of Home’ instead, a song which wasn't sung too often during the season and would soon disappear from his setlist.

We've included the March 19th dinner show pre acts on disc 1, to give you a full overview of the Elvis Presley show as recorded from the soundboard.

Be sure to pick-up this digipack, filled with newly acquired photos, newspaper reviews and a list of songs performed during this season. And watch this space, as we'll also be releasing the unreleased midnight show very soon!

    Ask your dealer for samples!
